Looks great, looks wrong, looks like a storm in a teacup?

The new bezel and action icon in the pre-release version of ß71 have attracted some criticism:

In my opinion, the old bezel looked like a cathode ray tube, while the new version is sharper and more compact. As for the shiny new action icon, I agree that it’s better than the plasticky original. How about a compromise? Alternatively:

Either or both design elements could be changed, rescinded or added as options by the final release.

So what do you think?
